Alesha Dixon rates Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole as the best judge on The X Factor.

Speaking exclusively to Orange, Alesha leant her support to Newcastle-born Cheryl.

Alesha told us: "Every time Cheryl has cried, I've been crying too."

She added: "Cheryl is the best thing to happen to The X Factor, apart from Simon Cowell, who I love. She knows what it's like more than anyone - she's the most qualified judge I think."

Former Mis-Teeq member Alesha, who saw her own career rejuvenated by a winning turn on Strictly Come Dancing last year, says she understands the pressure on the singing hopefuls.

"They're real people at the end of the day, and they've got dreams and they know that the power of that show can change their lives. Good luck to them, but Cheryl to win."
