Black Eyed Peas accused of plagiarism

Black Eyed Peas

A British DJ could be seeking legal action against the Black Eyed Peas, after alleging that the US four-piece have sampled one of his tracks without permission.

Producer and DJ Adam Freeland claims Will.i.am and co used the beat from his track 'Mancry' in 'Party All The Time', taken from their latest album, The E.N.D.

Freeland first commented on the similarities between the tracks on his Twitter page, writing: "OK. Check this. Listen to our song 'Mancry'. Now listen to Black Eyed Peas' 'Party all the time'. What the f***?"

According to DailySwarm.com, lawyers representing both parties have been in contact with each other, although no legal papers have yet been filed.

Will.i.am is no stranger to plagiarism claims, having previously been pulled up for his use of an uncleared sample of Daft Punk's 'Around The World' on his solo track 'I Got It From My Momma'.

The French duo insisted that he dropped the excerpt from the 2007 single version.
