Brandon Flowers has let slip some dark thoughts about his bandmate Ronnie Vannucci.

The usually mild-mannered singer says there are times when he wants to duff up the drummer.

Brandon told The Sun: "I felt our unit was strong. But every now and then I do have a Sting fantasy where I want to jump over the drums."

The Las Vegas-born artist was referring to the strained relations between The Police frontman Sting and drummer Stewart Copeland, whose long-running spat saw Sting hospitalised in 1983 after getting his ribs cracked in a fight.   

But Mormon Brandon is staying tight-lipped about the cause of his rage.

He said: "It's something only I and our drummer can know."

The Killers' new single, Spaceman, is out on Monday (9 February).
