A Million Lights Tour tickets go on sale Friday 15 June...

Cheryl has announced her first solo nationwide arena tour with dates throughout the UK in October this year.

The singer's A Million Lights Tour will commence in Nottingham on 6 October and finish up in her home town of Newcastle on 17 October.

Cheryl's lead single from her upcoming album, Call My Name, was released this week and went straight in at No 1 on iTunes clocking up record-breaking sales.

Recently, Cheryl unveiled a track-by-track sampler of her new album, also entitled A Million Lights, and we have to say, it's sounding pretty good. The album is due for release on 18 June.

Even though this is Cheryl's first solo arena tour, she's no stranger to the live circuit. She opened as special guest on the Black Eyed Peas European tour in 2010 and also played four sold-out arena tours as part of Girls Aloud.

Tickets for Cheryl's 2012 tour will go on sale Friday 15 June. Will you be going?
