"Entertainment is changing", says Marshall Mathers III on his comeback single. If only Slim Shady would change with it, he may have a worthier single on his hands.
On the face of things, Eminem is still doing what Eminem did in 2004. The only problem is, it's been five years and the plodding rap beat here sounds like it's being dragged along against its will. Meanwhile, the Detroit rapper has opted to namecheck an awful lot of celebrities, including our very own Amy Winehouse, rather than come up with the cutting rhymes he's known for.
And so we get not-so-insightful commentary on the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Jennifer Aniston and even Vice Presidential lapdog Sarah Palin. But what's your point, Marshall?
It's a jolly enough effort, but far from his finest hour.
