A brand new poster featuring the updated Spidey suit that Andrew Garfield will pull on in the Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been released by Sony Pictures.
The main feature of the new suit appears to be the much-larger eyes, similar in style to those worn by the superhero in the Ultimate Spider-Man series of comic books. Whether this means the franchise's story arc will follow any of the series' plot-lines, including the appearance of Spider-Woman, is up for debate.
This isn't the only bit of Spidey-related news today, though. Variety has reported that US actor Chris Cooper has signed on to play the role of Norman Osborn, CEO of Oscorp, and the man who famously goes on to become the Green Goblin.
However, with Paul Giamatti and Jamie Foxx already set to play the villains Rhino and Electro, it seems unlikely that Osborn, or his son Harry, who'll be played by Dane DeHaan, will turn to evil at this stage.
It seems more likely that Osborn will appear as a mentor to Peter Parker in this movie, before becoming the main villain in the third instalment of the franchise.
Directed by Marc Webb, the film is due for release in the UK on 18 April, 2014.
