Director Baz Luhrmann blasted Jay-Z rap tracks onto the set of The Great Gatsby to boost his cast's energy during shooting.
The Moulin Rouge! moviemaker has put his creative twist on F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic tale for the new film, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Carey Mulligan and Tobey Maguire.
And despite the movie being set in the posh Hamptons area of New York in the 1920s, Luhrmann played the rapper's songs at full blast while his stars acted out their scenes.
Isla Fisher, who plays Myrtle Wilson in the movie, said: "On my first day he had Jay-Z pumped up full and we did the entire scene with Jay-Z in our ear on full blast while acting, and it was just so liberating."
