See the first picture of Matt Damon in Elysium
There's a been a veil of secrecy over the new film from District 9 director Neill Blomkamp but now we can reveal the first image from Elysium.
A shaven-headed Matt Damon, shown below wielding a massive futuristic weapon, leads the cast, with Jodie Foster, William Fichtner and Diego Luna also involved.
According to The Playlist, who have obtained the below picture from Entertainment Weekly, Elysium is set in 2159 and sees Damon as "a man who takes on a daunting mission in a world where the very wealthy live on the pristine, man-made space station called Elysium, and fight to keep the citizens of Earth from illegally immigrating".
Elysium is due for release in March 2013 - judging by the below picture, that can't come soon enough!
