Julia Roberts is planning to produce a film version of on a new book exploring the lack of a sense of community among neighbours.

It will be based on In The Neighbourhood by Peter Lovenheim, according to Variety.

The book sees the author asking his neighbours if he can come into their homes for sleepovers in an effort to get to know them better.

Roberts has yet to announce whether she'll appear in the movie.
