Michael Jackson's This Is It took an estimated $101m over its debut weekend at the worldwide box office.

The documentary took an estimated $21.3m to top the US box office over the Halloween weekend.

Low-budget horror Paranormal Activity continued to perform strongly in the US, taking a further $16.5m in its sixth week of release.

But Saw VI slipped to number five in its second week with an estimated $5.6m.
