It'll be a sunny day where everything's a-ok on the big screen soon as a Sesame Street film is in the works, it has emerged.
According to the Hollywood Reporter's HeatVision blog, 20th Century Fox has bought the movie rights to the long-running children's show, with Real Steel director Shawn Levy set to produce.
The educational programme, which premiered in 1969, has produced two spin-off movies - 1985's Follow That Bird and 1999's The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland - but the new project will be the first cinematic take on how to get to Sesame Street.
After the success of the movie return of The Muppets, and rumours of a Fraggle Rock film in development, it's not difficult to see the thinking behind Fox's plans to bring more Jim Henson characters to the big screen with a Sesame Street picture.
