First pictures of Andy Serkis as Ian Dury
Here are the first pictures of Andy Serkis playing Ian Dury in a new biopic.
He is cast as the maverick singer in sex&drugs&rock&roll.
Serkis has been nominated as Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards Nomination for the role.
Dury, who suffered from polio and died aged 57, was best known for songs such as 'Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick'.
Bill Milner plays Dury's son Baxter and Ray Winstone is Dury's dad Bill. Wesley Nelson, a young Cardiff-based actor who has cerebral palsy, plays the young Dury.
sex&drugs&rock&roll is due to hit UK cinemas on 8 January.
The 10th anniversary of Dury's death falls on 27 March, 2010.
