Harrison Ford is reportedly open to the idea of starring in the next Star Wars film, it has emerged.
After Disney bought Lucasfilm last week, it was revealed the company planned to release a seventh Star Wars instalment in 2015 - and Ford could return as Han Solo.
"Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he's upbeat about it," said a source quoted by Entertainment Weekly.
"All three [of the original trilogy's leads - Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill] are!"
Ford's involvement would be a surprise, given his recent comments about the sci-fi series.
"I don't know that I understood it very well," he said. "I'm not sure I understand it yet... I was very happy to be involved. I was pleased to be a part of an ensemble."
Ford also admitted in 2010 he thought Han Solo should have been killed off, but creator George Lucas dissuaded him: "I thought he should have died in the last one to give it some bottom. George didn't think there was any future in dead Han toys."
