Gurning title at last for Gordon

A Cumbrian man has been crowned the winner of the annual World Gurning Championships after years of pulling faces.

Gordon Blacklock who lives in the village of Egremont - where the event took place - claimed the title after taking part for the past 13 years.

Last year's champion Tommy Mattinson was unable to take part this year, reports BBC online.

The event started in 1297 at the Egremont Crab Apple Fair where the apples were so bitter people would pull faces.
