From the introductory plucked melody that kicks off 'Just Like Me', you can tell that Jamie Foxx's new single - taken from 2008's Intuition - is going to be special.
Initially taking the guise of a classy mid-tempo jam recounting the merits of finding a like-minded lover, the verses then develop into a narrative in which both Jamie and his other half are entertaining bits on the side.
Heard Usher do the same thing a decade ago? Not quite. The star of Ray keeps his occasionally wayward vocal gymnastics firmly in check, and reaps the benefits.
Man of the moment TI lays down an inspired set of bars that perfectly match the sentiment of the song - equally humorous and sentimental. It's refreshing that his contribution is not simply the standard 16 bars normally reserved for the guest vocalist on similar tracks.
