Obviously not an alumnus of the "less is more" school of music-making, Kevin Rudolf has chucked a bit of everything into his new single 'Let It Rock'.

Thumping beats intertwine with electro synths, hip-hop, handclaps and a shamelessly cheesy rock riff - topped off with the 23-year-old's throaty vocals and a guest spot from rapper Lil Wayne.

The strangest thing about the everything-but-the-kitchen-sink approach is how well it works. Not one to whack on when you've got a hangover, perhaps, but it'd certainly go down well on a dancefloor the night before. Lil Wayne's presence lends some much-needed edginess to the proceedings, resulting in a thumping party track that doesn't compromise quality for quantity.
