The Voice coach Danny O'Donoghue denies dating Bo

He insists he's not having a fling with his protege

It seems that as soon as celebrities show any affection towards each other, the rumour mill goes into overdrive. A simple touch or look between two people in the public eye, in this case both, and there's a hot new romance brewing.

The latest pairing everyone is speculating about is that of The Voice coach Danny O'Donoghue and his talented protege, Bo Bruce.

During their moving performance of Read All About It on the show's final, Danny put his hand on Bo's hip and they looked as if they were about to lock lips as they sung the track gazing into each other's eyes. Even host Holly Willoughby made a remark about their chemistry.

Adding fuel to the fire, it was announced that Danny's "on a break" from his girlfriend, Lithuanian model Irma Mali.

However, a source has spoken to the Irish Independent explaining that it was Irma who initiated the split, not Danny.

The source said: "This split has been evident for quite a while now and has nothing to do with any third parties.

"Danny is a sweet guy and Irma has nothing but good things to say about him and their time together."

The source added: "Danny and Bo are definitely just friends."

Furthermore, a friend of Danny's spoke to The Sun saying that the rumours are "nonsense":

"Danny has been laughing about the rumour, saying it is complete nonsense. He says there is absolutely no truth in it whatsoever."

A spokesperson for Danny put rumours finally to rest, declaring: "He is not having an affair with Bo."

Well that's it then. Mind you with their combined stage presence, surely a duet could be on the cards, at the very least?!
