Pendulum - 'Witchcraft'

In the first 45 seconds of 'Witchcraft', you might be excused for thinking that electro-rockers Pendulum have come over all acoustic on us, with a notable absence of signature synths and heavy beats.
But we figure mid-tempo guitar-led ballads aren't really the band's thing, and it's fair to say that the stripped-down sound certainly isn't indicative of the band's first UK No.1 album, Immersion.
And we would be right - it's not long before the highly-anticipated drop makes it's dramatic arrival. Heralded by the lyrics "I'm looking for your hand in the rough/You're caught in the wire/Well, I'll lift you out," the dub-dance beat that has proven formulaic in the lads' success comes into the mix with hyperactive gusto.
'Witchcraft' has all the components of another Pendulum hit- a rave-inspired synth riff, a rock-rousing guitar lead and beat that will have you hitting out on the air-drums. By witchcraft or other means, we we foresee many ravers falling under Pendulum's spell with this banger.
