Adam West: Ben Affleck Will Be Great Batman
Television legend Adam West has given his support to Ben Affleck as Batman.
The star - who played the Caped Crusader in the original TV series from 1966 to 1968, told Sky News that he is sure "Ben Affleck will be very good in the role - it will be fun to see".
West was speaking at the launch of Lego Batman 3: Beyond Gotham - in which he lends his voice to a 60s version of the iconic comic book character.
But the 85-year-old said it is almost impossible to compare the different incarnations of Batman: "They do a much darker, more gothic rendition - the studio has everything they could ever dream of.
"We just slapped on some make up and gave it a lot of imagination - I guess I was the Bright Knight - not the Dark Knight."
Batman has been one of the stars of this year's Comic Con. Hall H saw Batman and Robin - Adam West and Burt Ward - reunited on stage while a teaser trailer for the upcoming Batman v Superman movie was also played out to excited fans.
Other highlights of the four-day festival of pop culture in San Diego included the cast of The Hobbit: The Battle Of The Five Armies take a series of fan's questions while Marvel Studios also previewed footage from the upcoming Avengers sequel: The Age Of Ultron.
