Alan Partridge Film Alpha Papa Set For Sequel
Steve Coogan's Alan Partridge is to star in a sequel to his big screen film Alpha Papa.
The film's producer Henry Normal said there will also be more Mid Morning Matters and another Sky Atlantic show.
Normal, who is co-founder of Coogan's production company Baby Cow, told The Guardian; "We are planning a sequel [to Alpha Papa], yes, that will be great.
"We are also looking at doing more Mid Morning Matters and another Sky special, a little bit like Coast with Alan Partridge, except I don't think he goes out of Norfolk.
"I think it's things of interest in Norfolk, that's the general theme."
He added: "We start writing now. I think we make it at the end of summer."
Partridge was resurrected for a series of Mid Morning Matters online shorts by Foster's in 2011.
The show later transferred to Sky Atlantic and the character featured in Alan Partridge: Welcome to the Places of My Life and Alan Partridge on Open Books with Martin Bryce.
The character has a legion of loyal fans who enjoy quoting his most famous lines, including "Aha!"
Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa was released last summer and took £6.2m at the UK box office.
Coogan won a Bafta and was nominated for an Oscar for his screenplay for Philomena, which he also starred in alongside Dame Judi Dench.
