Andre addresses cafe complaint

Australian singer Peter Andre has assured fans he's taken action after his cafe in Sussex was given a poor review by food hygiene inspectors.

The Mysterious Girl hitmaker and his brother Danny opened the New York Coffee Club in November but during a recent inspection, environmental health officials gave it just one star out of five on the Food Standards Agency hygiene ranking.

A report stated "major improvements" were needed, and Andre has now informed fans the necessary changes have been made.

A post on his website reads, "Peter and Danny Andre would like to reassure customers that the issues raised by inspectors were rectified within the same afternoon. The brothers are very serious about the coffee shop and welcome the council to re-inspect the coffee shop at any time."

A statement from Andre adds, "I am a new business owner and we got a couple of things wrong, including the hand wash basin being in the wrong place. However, this has all now been sorted..."
