Ant-Man Poster Revealed By Marvel At Comic-Con
Ant-Man fans have been given their first glimpse of what the character will look like in Marvel's upcoming film.
The studios have released a poster for the film to coincide with the start of Comic-Con in San Diego.
The poster is just a concept illustration at this point but it does show cast members Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas.
The film has been delayed due to problems with securing a director after British film-maker Edgar Wright pulled out despite years of working on the project.
Peyton Reed, who directed Bring It On And The Break Up, will now take the helm.
Douglas plays Hank Pym, the creator of technology that can shrink humans to the size of an insect.
Anchorman star Rudd will play Scott Lang, the alter-ego of the diminutive superhero.
Production is due to begin in August.
Evangeline Lilly, Patrick Wilson and Michael Pena also star in the film which is due to hit UK cinemas on July 17, 2015.
Comic-Con is a four-day festival celebrating film, TV, video games, comic books, costumes and other popular arts.
More than 150,000 fans are expected to attend the sold-out event, where studios will offer exclusive previews of their latest properties.
Television is making a greater splash than in previous years, edging into the 6,500-seat exhibition hall where movies have been the mainstay.
Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead are major TV draws, while the Marvel panel and Warner Bros' The Hobbit are among the anticipated film offerings.
