Ant McPartlin Assaulted By Gang Outside Pub
Television presenter Ant McPartlin and his mother have been assaulted outside a pub in west London.
The pair were having dinner at the Old Station House in Chiswick when a gang started making rude gestures and filming him through the window with their phones.
It is reported that McPartlin, 38, went outside to ask them to leave but ended up being put into a headlock.
The Saturday Night Takeaway host's mother, Christine, was also pushed to the ground when she attempted to intervene.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said they were called to the disturbance in Spencer Road, Chiswick, shortly after 8pm on Thursday, March 13.
He said: "No allegations were made and no one suffered any injuries."
McPartlin tweeted: "Thanks for all your lovely tweets. Me and my mam are absolutely fine. Not gonna let an idiot ruin things. All good and V happy!"
The Geordie presenter, who always appears on TV with sidekick Declan Donnelly, last month chopped off the tip of his thumb.
He was attempting to work out how to use a vegetable-slicing gadget ahead of a Sunday dinner, it was reported.
