Ant McPartlin reveals baby struggle

Ant Mcpartlin is trying for a baby with his wife but admits it is "tougher than you think" to conceive "when you get a bit older".

The TV presenter married 36-year-old Lisa Armstrong in 2006, and the couple is keen to expand its family.

However, McPartlin, 37, reveals Armstrong is struggling to fall pregnant - and he is convinced their age could be a factor.

Speaking to the Radio Times about his presenting partner Declan Donnelly, he explained, "There's a rumour that we do everything together and I'm holding off having kids 'till Dec finds himself Mrs Right. I love that idea, but I'm afraid it's not true.

"Lisa and I would love to have kids. We're trying. It's tougher than you think when you get a bit older."

McPartlin has previously revealed his desire for a child, saying in 2010, "We've wanted children for a while, but we're both busy. We're on holiday now, the first proper one for 15 years.

"So Lisa and I are trying for a baby. Well, we've been trying for a little while so fingers crossed."
