Anti-Paedophile Vigilante Jailed For Murder
An anti-paedophile vigilante who murdered a gay man he wrongly believed was a child molester has been told he may never be freed from jail.
Christopher Hunnisett, 28, was jailed for life with a minimum term of 18 years at Woolwich Crown Court for the killing of supermarket worker Peter Bick, 57.
But the judge warned he was an "extremely dangerous man" who "may well kill again" if released in the foreseeable future.
Mr Justice Saunders said: "The time may never come when this defendant is considered safe to be released."
Hunnisett battered Mr Bick with a hammer and strangled him with a shoelace after having sex with him in January last year.
He tried to cover his tracks by sending text messages falsely suggesting that the supermarket worker believed he was meeting a 15-year-old boy.
The murder came just four months after Hunnisett was acquitted on retrial of killing Reverend Ronald Glazebrook.
Following his release from jail after nine years, he drew up a "hit list" of men he planned to kill in an attempt to rid the world of paedophiles.
The court was told that Mr Bick was top of this list despite there being "not a shred of evidence" that he was a child molester.

Presumably, he was in prison for another offence, but appealed that sentence and was aquitted at the retrial.

There is sometimes nothing more satisfying than watching a good vigilante movie starring either Charles Bronson or Clint Eastwood. The way they go around eliminating the undesirable psychopathic elements of society, makes you sometimes wish things were that easy in real life! However, they're not and here we see a prime example of why it's completely unexceptable to try to take the law into your own hands. The fantasy of the lone vigilante patrolling the streets and keeping citizens safe from harm is appealing, but the reality is downright dangerous!

True, but I don't ever remember Eastwood or Bronson having sex with their victims before inflicting their 'justice' . This guy is clearly NOT any kind of vigilante

right idea for dealing with sick paedophiles......but not for targeting homosexuals ....he should of done his homework before hand.......no person has the right to kill another and now he is about to start his lesson

Im not sure how much of a punishment it will be after all the cotten wool prisons we have these days have all the comforts of home. Free food / free home / internet / sky tv / cames consols / activity center / free phone calls. Sounds more like a summer camp dont it

Are you seriously giving advice to murderers to "Do their homework first" so they murder the "right" people. To kill another in our society is wrong no matter what their crime is, To murder makes you no better than they. I suggest you use your brain to balance your emotional and erroneous judgement lest you guide others that will end up in jail with those that are condemned to death. Murdering them serves no purpose other than to satisfy the mob/witch hunt mentality. Yes people should pay for there crimes but that's why we have a justice system; with all its flaws, it works most of the time. By all means campaign against Paedophilia, but there are other crimes just as heinous that do not get the press coverage like the buzz crime Paedophilia does. Twenty years ago it was Rape that was the buzz crime and to insult or cause hate against another you would invariably call them a rapist, today its Paedophilia, tomorrow it will be something different. Upholding a moral order is not easy and while you may feel outrage and hatred towards certain criminals we have to allow our moral system to work and where it fails fix it.

I take serious umbrage at this news clips title, "Anti-Paedophile Vigilante Jailed For Murder" this person is NOT a Vigilante of any sort, what he is, is a murderer, using a sign of the times moral trigger word "Paedophile" to try and justify his murderous behaviour by flying a moral flag. To suggest that he is some sort of protector of children is amoral to say the least, this man is obviously a danger to ALL humans both adult and children alike.
