Arnold Schwarzenegger admits affair with housekeeper was stupid

Actor Arnold Schwarzenegger admits cheating on his estranged wife Maria Shriver was the "stupidest thing" he's ever done.

The action man-turned-politician stunned Hollywood last May when he separated from the mother of his four kids after 25 years of marriage and then admitted to fathering a son with maid Mildred Baena, who had worked at the couple's home.

Schwarzenegger, who is currently in the middle of divorce proceedings, has now opened up about the guilt he feels over the affair and the hurt it caused his family.

During an interview on U.S. news show 60 Minutes, which is set to air on Sunday, he says, "I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship. It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids."
