BGT fans wanted for 'flashmob' event

Fans of Britain's Got Talent could soon become the stars of the show - by taking part in a 'flashmob' style event.

Producers have made an appeal for members of the public to appear alongside hosts Ant and Dec as the project films in London next week.

Hopefuls can apply for tickets to the flashmob through ticketing site Applause Store - and successful applicants will also automatically receive tickets to a semi-final show.

The event will take place in Trafalgar Square on 9 March at 1pm.

Footage will be shown in the Britain's Got Talent opening titles when it returns to ITV1 this spring. Viewers will then be able to see the much-publicised new line-up, with Simon Cowell rejoining original judge Amanda Holden alongside newcomers David Walliams and Alesha Dixon. Carmen Electra also made an appearance on the panel to cover for Holden after she gave birth in January.
