Bill Hader distances himself from Baywatch movie

A representative for Bill Hader has dismissed reports the actor has signed up to star in a movie adaptation of hit US TV show Baywatch.

The Superbad star was said to have landed the lead role in an upcoming reboot of the series, which starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, but his spokesperson has moved swiftly to shoot down the rumours.

His rep has branded the speculation "completely incorrect" and tells GossipCop.com that Hader is "not attached" to the project.

Hasselhoff revealed last year that he plans to play himself in the film instead of revisiting his role as lifeguard Mitch Buchannon.
