Bill Wyman to release photo scrapbook

The Rolling Stones rocker Bill Wyman is giving fans a rare glimpse into his private world by releasing an intimate photobook.

The publication will include images of the bass player from his childhood through to his time with the band.

It also features personal photographs of his Stones bandmates backstage and on holiday at Wyman's villa in France in the late 1970s.

There are touching images of Wyman attending the funeral of tragic Stones founder Brian Jones, and a shot of him looking pensive days after the tragedy.

The limited edition Bill Wyman's Scrapbook, signed by the rocker, comes with handwritten notes telling the story behind each photo and is housed in a protective box.

Wyman says, "I made my first scrapbooks as a child. I made a dozen or more scrapbooks when The Stones began. Here is a new scrapbook that contains a wonderful variety of items and incidents that have meant something special to me throughout this varied and amazing life that I am still enjoying to the full. Please share with me these wonderful memories."

The book is due out next month.
