Billie Piper gives animals away to farm

Married actors Billie Piper and Laurence Fox donated their menagerie of animals to a local farm after struggling to care for them.

The Secret Diary of a Call Girl star and her husband bought a country retreat in Sussex, complete with a yard full of animals including pigs, chickens, dogs and a horse.

However, they struggled to look after their unusual pets due to their heavy work commitments and reluctantly decided to hand the animals to a nearby farm.

Fox reveals the hardest moment was saying goodbye to his pigs, Boris and Barack, telling the Daily Mail newspaper, "Much as I loved them, they had to go to a local farm. They grew far bigger than they were meant to but I have photographic evidence that they are still alive!"
