Bond poster raises £78,000 at auction

The original poster artwork for James Bond movie Diamonds Are Forever has sold at a London auction for more than £78,000.

The hand-painted piece made more than three times the original estimate of £24,000 after a collector bid £79,250 at the Christie's sale on Wednesday.

The rare poster features a mis-spelling of actress Lana Wood's name and depicts 007 star Sir Sean Connery holding a gun with two Bond girls at his side.

A poster for the 1942 Humphrey Bogart classic Casablanca also went under the hammer, fetching a staggering £30,000.
