Boyband Union J cancel shows
Boyband Union J have cancelled a number of shows in Ireland this week after singer George Shelley hurt himself in an accident.
The group, which shot to fame on The X Factor, has axed several concerts and Shelley apologised to fans in a series of posts on the band's official Twitter.com page.
He writes, "So sorry to everyone in Ireland. I have had an accident so we won't be able to perform tomorrow so our gigs have been pulled. Sorry... I'm fine (I) just had an accident and won't be able to perform tomorrow, I will be fine in a week or so."
No more details about Shelley's condition were given as WENN went to press, but the band's manager, Blair Dreelan, assured fans the star is not seriously hurt, writing on Twitter, "To all those asking George is fine, just a small accident. Won't be performing at the show tmrw (tomorrow), but will be back in a week or so!... Guys it's not serious, please do not worry, just a small accident! George will be fine and back in action real soon! Shows to be rescheduled."
