Brad Pitt Attacked At Hollywood Premiere
Brad Pitt has been attacked while signing autographs at the Hollywood premiere of fiancee Angelina Jolie's new film.
The actor was struck in the head by a man seen jumping over a fence and rushing towards him before the screening of Maleficent.
Security guards wrestled him away and an apparently unharmed Pitt resumed signing autographs outside the El Capitan Theatre.
Ukrainian prankster Vitalii Sediuk was photographed being handcuffed and officers confirmed a man was held overnight after being arrested on suspicion of battery.
"The officers who were handling him said it looked like it was intentional, but at this point, it remains to be determined," said Sergeant Leonard Calderon of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Sediuk has form having tried to slip under actress America Ferrera's dress at Cannes two weeks ago.
In 2012 he was slapped by Will Smith after trying to kiss him on the lips, and last year the 'reporter' was arrested for crashing the stage as Adele was about to receive a Grammy.
In other incidents Sediuk has grabbed both Bradley Cooper and Leonardo DiCaprio around the waist on red carpets.
Maleficent is Disney's new live action spin on Sleeping Beauty and stars Jolie.
