Brit Awards: David Bowie Tipped To Win
The biggest names in music will gather tonight at the O2 Arena in London for the Brit Awards.
Bastille and Disclosure lead the nominations, with four each including British group.
Ellie Goulding is up for three awards, with many tipping her to win best British female.
David Bowie is also in the running to win his first prize at the Brits for almost two decades.
The 67-year-old star leads the field to take the British male award after his comeback last year with album The Next Day, following an absence of 10 years.
One Direction are up for the British group award - and are widely expected to win the video prize.
Music fans will vote on Twitter for the video award, with the winner declared at the end of the ceremony.
It is the first time the Brits have allowed an award to be decided using social media.
Fans around the world, not just those in the UK, will be able to vote.
The event will be screened globally on YouTube in an effort to raise its international profile.
Organisers say they've responded to criticism that last year's event was too boring.
Music journalist Tim Chipping told Sky News: "Last year was like watching someone's regional sales conference. So dull, no-one can remember anything interesting that happened last year."
The event will feature a number of star performers including Katy Perry, Pharrell Williams and the Arctic Monkeys.
