Burt Reynolds hospitalised

Veteran actor Burt Reynolds has been hospitalised in Florida with a nasty case of the flu.

The Boogie Nights star, who has been ill for several days, was recently transported to a local medical centre after struggling with worsening systems, and on Friday he was treated in the intensive care unit for severe hydration.

A representative for the 76 year old tells TMZ.com doctors expect him to make a full recovery.
