Car Crashes Into Couple's Upstairs Bedroom

A sleeping couple had an astonishing escape after an out-of-control car crashed into their upstairs bedroom.

The couple were in bed at their home in Epsom, Surrey, when the Lexus rounded a bend, mounted a parked Audi, and smashed into the building.

The silver car punched a gaping hole in the first floor of the house, blasting debris across the bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

But incredibly the couple were unhurt - and police say the three men who were travelling in the Lexus were taken to Epsom Hospital where they were treated for only minor injuries.

A number of other cars were also damaged in the incident, and a postbox, road sign and fence were destroyed.

A structural engineer was called to check the property as police investigated the cause of the accident, which happened at around 3am on Sunday.

One neighbour has described how she heard the early-hours crash.

She said: "It sounded like a plane coming out the sky. I think the car flew about 80ft before it came to rest in the side of the house."

what do you think?

It is very surprising how many times I've read stories like this since 1980. Buses crashing through house living rooms, trucks, cars, infact, even fighter jets except, I did read of one fighter jet which misses some houses. Although, if I remember, the other year a private plane landed on a house in Manchester, I think? Was it Manchester? Think it was. I can remember seeing a photograph of a plane on a house porch?
