Charlie Sheen calls on fugitive to get in contact

Charlie Sheen has urged America's most wanted man to contact him after he went on the run from cops following a string of alleged murders.

Former police officer Christopher Dorner has a £625,000 bounty on his head and is currently being hunted by the Los Angeles Police Department on suspicion of fatally shooting a couple, killing a cop and leaving another injured last week.

Dorner, who lost his job with the LAPD four years ago, reportedly wrote an online manifesto in which he declared war on his former employers and colleagues, and also namechecked Sheen, who he called "awesome".

Now the actor has called out to Dorner in a recorded video for TMZ.com in a bid to get him to come forward. He says, "Christopher Dorner, this is Charlie Sheen. You mention me in your manifesto so thank you for your kind words. I'm urging you to call me and let's figure out together how to end this thing. Call me. I look forward to talking to you."

Police are currently searching the California mountains after Dorner's pickup truck was found burned out with guns inside.
