Colin Farrell honoured at Oscar Wilde awards
Colin Farrell was honoured for his Hollywood career at a ceremony celebrating Irish talent in the movie industry on Thursday night (21Feb13).
The Phone Booth actor was the star guest at the Oscar Wilde: Honoring The Irish In Film event in Santa Monica, California, and he flew in from New York to pick up his prize.
In his acceptance speech, Farrell thanked his parents and joked they were "rumoured to have genetically made me Irish".
Movie mogul Michael R. Burns and make-up artist Michele Burke were also honoured with Wilde awards, which are named after the famed Irish writer.
