Colin Farrell's movie shoot delayed over storm fears

Filming on Colin Farrell's new movie has been postponed over fears the shoot could be disrupted by a tropical storm.

The Irish actor was scheduled to begin work on Winter's Tale in New York on Monday, but movie bosses have now pushed the production's start date back by a day.

The move followed reports which suggest Tropical Storm Sandy - which was downgraded from hurricane status on Saturday - is due to hit the area on Monday after high winds and rain killed more than 40 people in the Caribbean.

A spokesperson for Warner Bros., the studio behind Winter's Tale, confirmed the move to Deadline.com, revealing the decision was taken "as a precaution."

The film also stars Downton Abbey actress Jessica Brown Findlay.
