Conor Maynard desperate for Drake duet

Pop star Conor Maynard is desperate to land his dream collaboration with rapper Drake, although the singer fears he would break down and cry if he ever does meet his idol.

The Can't Say No hitmaker has landed a host of guest appearances for his debut album Contrast, including R&B star Ne-Yo and hip-hop superproducer Pharrell Williams, but there's one artist he has yet to work with - and Maynard can't imagine how he would react if Drake agreed to hit the studio with him.

He tells MTV News, "I went through a massive phase of just listening to Drake's music. I was just a massive fan of his music, and the way he writes is just incredible. He makes such simple, relatable tracks that work so cleverly. It's so weird how he writes.

"If I ever got the chance to work with him or got to meet him, I think it would be one of those moments where it's like, 'Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry.' It would be crazy. I definitely look up to him as an artist."
