Cop admits leaking Ronnie Wood arrest details

A former police officer has confessed to leaking information about the arrest of Ronnie Wood to a British tabloid.
Alan Tierney was working for a police force in Surrey in 2009 when he gave details of the Rolling Stones star's arrest on a domestic violence charge to reporters at The Sun newspaper.
He also provided information on a case involving the family of football player John Terry, and was allegedly paid a total of £1,750.
Wood was arrested in December, 2009 for assault "in connection with a domestic incident" and was later given an official police caution. It followed a bust-up with his then-girlfriend Ekaterina Ivanova.
Tierney admitted two charges of misconduct in public office at a court hearing in London on Friday. He will be sentenced later this month.
