Ex-NOTW Editor Coulson Charged With Perjury

Former News of the World editor Andy Coulson has been arrested and charged with perjury.
A statement issued by Strathclyde Police said: "A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged perjury before the High Court.
"A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
The allegations relate to the trial of former Scottish politician Tommy Sheridan at the High Court in Glasgow in December 2010.
Mr Coulson, who gave evidence in the trial, was detained in London by Strathclyde officers and later taken to a Glasgow police station.
Former MSP Sheridan was jailed for three years in January 2011 after being found guilty of perjury during his 2006 defamation action against the News Of The World (NOTW) when Mr Coulson was editor.
Sheridan was awarded £200,000 in damages after winning the civil case.
But a jury at the High Court in Glasgow found him guilty of lying about the now-defunct tabloid's claims that he was an adulterer who visited a swingers' club.
The former Scottish Socialist Party (SSP) leader was released from jail in January after serving one year of his sentence.

Yes! I hope he gets hammered. He's a dirty liar with no scruples and no morals. Can you imagine, this man was in charge of a national publication? How utterly frightening this is. I am appaled. If the boss of an 'influential' and widely-circulated newspaper can't conduct himself responsibly, and be seen to do so, what chance the world's unfortunates and have-nots? Hammer the lot of 'em. Hammer a message into the whole lot of them. Let the British public see what will happen to silver-spoons who would jeopardise the efforts and hard work of the good people of our country. You know what I would do with this no-scrupled low-life? If I told you, then this post would be deleted. I wonder how Mr. Tommy Sheridan feels about this person? The same Mr. Sheridan who was imprisoned on the perjury presented by this horrible man. I want this person to be brought to justice.

Andy Coulson was nothing to do with the Palace of Westminster. He was a journalist and then the mouthpiece for Cameron.

Chris Robinson
It was always a frame up.

David Wragg
Let's hope they throw the book at him. Just shows how awful Cameron's judgement is - he is now protecting Hunt by not passing his case to the people handling the code of ministerial conduct!

Wouldn't it be simpler to enclose the Palace of Westminster with bars (of the iron variety) and reopen them in about 20yrs time?
