Dani Harmer in love split during Strictly rehearsals

Actress Dani Harmer is coping with the heartache of a break-up as she rehearses for her debut on Strictly Come Dancing.

The Tracy Beaker star broke up with TV assistant director Graeme Livingstone days after the BBC show's glitzy premiere.

However, she refused to let the split get in the way of her schedule and is sticking to rehearsals with partner Vincent Simone as planned.

A source tells The Sun, "The timing was terrible. Dani filmed her first show on Wednesday night then split from Graeme the next week.

"If anything was going to knock her off track this would have been it. But Dani is a tough cookie and she decided it wouldn't get her down.

"She must be hurting but she hasn't called off training - there has been no crying in the corner and she is very focused on the routines.

"She has told Vincent that she is determined not to let Graeme wreck things for her."

It comes just a week after it was revealed that Harmer's fellow contestant Denise Van Outen was dealing with the death of her 89-year-old grandfather.

An insider adds, "She was so close to her grandfather and his death has hit her really hard. But she is determined to try to carry on in the show."
