Dappy in court to deny affray charge
Rapper Dappy appeared in court on Thursday charged with affray.
The N-Dubz star, real name Costadinos Contostavlos, and a male friend were arrested in February following an alleged altercation with three strangers at a gas station in Guildford.
The three men were said to have been left with "serious facial injuries" after the clash, and Dappy was accused of sparking the bust-up.
He appeared at Guildford Magistrates' Court on Thursday and spoke only to confirm his name and address, while his lawyer told the hearing the star denies the affray charge, according to BBC's Newsbeat.
Dappy, who hugged fans outside the building, is due back in court on 19 July.
