Dave Stewart holds contest for support acts

Rocker Dave Stewart is offering unknown bands the chance to support him on his upcoming tour.

The former Eurythmics star is due to play four dates UK next month and he's decided to choose his support acts through an online contest.

Amateur bands and singers will get the chance of a big break by submitting examples of their own music to Stewart's official website. The four winners will be given a 30-minute warm-up slot on the mini-tour and a "mentoring session" with the rocker.
