David Cassidy Stays In Rehab Over Drink-Driving
Seventies teen heartthrob David Cassidy has been sentenced to three months in rehab and five years' probation for drink-driving.
Cassidy admitted he had been driving under the influence when he was arrested in January.
The singer and actor's lawyer said he was already in rehab and would continue to undergo treatment for as long as his sentence requires.
He added Cassidy is "committed to his sobriety and wants to break the cycle that got him arrested for drunken driving twice in less than six months".
Last August, the star was stopped in New York on suspicion of drink-driving.
He also has a conviction for driving under the influence (DUI) in Florida in 2011.
The 63-year-old found fame in the 1970s appearing in hit TV show The Partridge Family as well as becoming a recording star.
