David Fincher Linked To Steve Jobs Biopic

It looks like David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin are heading back to Silicon Valley after their names were linked to a new Steve Jobs biopic.

The pair worked together on the Oscar-winning The Social Network but are rumoured to be reuniting once again.

The Hollywood Reporter claims Fincher is in early talks to direct the as yet untitled film which Sorkin has written for Sony.

The screenplay is based on the biography about the Apple co-founder by Walter Isaacson.

Jobs is credited with transforming the technology industry from computers to smartphones and music.

He died from pancreatic cancer aged 56 in October 2011.

It is not the first film to be made about the pioneer - Ashton Kutcher portrayed him in the 2011 film, Jobs.

Sorkin won the adapted screenplay Oscar for The Social Network, about Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, in 2011 and Fincher was nominated in the directing category.

Fincher has recently finished filming Gone Girl with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike and is executive producer on the Netflix series House Of Cards.
