Deer Stuck On Ice Pulled To Safety On Sled

A deer has had to be pulled to safety by rescuers after getting itself stranded on an icy reservoir.

TV cameras filmed the floundering adult male slipping around as he attempted to flee from Cambridge Reservoir just outside Waltham, in Massachusetts, on Friday.

A bag was put on its head to calm it down before the deer was dragged on a rescue sled to the shore.

It was expected to be medically examined before being released back to the surrounding woods.
