Derren Brown's cleaning lady jailed over stolen cheaques
Derren Brown's former cleaner was jailed on Thursday after stealing more than £33,000 from the illusionist's bank account.
Rocio Pavon-Navarrete was sentenced to 16 months behind bars after snatching two blank cheques from the TV star's London house.
He had left the signed cheques to spend in case of emergency while he was away on tour in 2010, but she gave them to pal Bernard Ayanbanjo, who deposited them into the bank.
Judge David Higgins told Pavon-Navarrete, "No doubt you regret being caught, but in my judgement nothing more."
The 47-year-old mother-of-three pleaded guilty to a single charge of theft last month at Southwark Crown Court in the capital.
Ayanbanjo was convicted of fraud and will be sentenced at a later date.
