DiCaprio In Town For Wolf Of Wall St Premiere

The stars of Wolf of Wall Street are in London for its premiere just a day after the film picked up four Bafta nominations.

Leonardo DiCaprio plays stockbroker Jordan Belfort in the Martin Scorsese film about his real-life rise and fall in the financial world of 1990s New York.

He will be joined on the red carpet by Jonah Hill and Margot Robbie ahead of its release on January 17.

The film, which also stars Matthew McConaughey and Joanna Lumley, is in the running for best director and DiCaprio is shortlisted for the leading actor award.

The real Belfort made - and spent - millions of dollars while riding high in the city but ended up in prison after the FBI arrested him for fraud.

The book he wrote about his experiences, which inspired the film, was described by DiCaprio as "candid and honest".

He told the Hollywood Reporter: "It was just hard to believe. It was almost like a modern day Caligula, it was like a Roman Empire gone awry in the late eighties, early nineties".

The film has been branded the most foul-mouthed of all time, topping a list of films featuring the F-word. In 179 minutes it is used 506 times.
